Bookings    

 

            Booking a dove release can either be done by:

 

• Direct arrangements with Go Doves by calling (408) 622-9944 or easily book your services online at any time on this page for Funerals, Memorials, Weddings, or Special Events

• If you are booking directly with GoDoves, we will work closely with you or your designated representative to provide a perfect release during your ceremony.

​

• Services can be booked online without payment until we contact you to confirm availability, and a deposit will be required to confirm your reservation.

Your Event Planner

 

            If you book with an event planner, funeral home, or other outside entity GoDoves will work closely with them to provide a perfectly timed and located release for your event.  When an individual family member is involved in the ceremony for the symbolic release of a dove,  We will guide he or she, prior to the ceremony, through the safe and simple process.

Pricing, Limitations, and Service Areas​

​

The services can be reserved online without any payment until we call you with the availability. Once you fill out the order, we will call you within 24 hours with the confirmation. An additional charge may be added if the service location is outside of our service area Zone A.  Such fees are added to the base price on each package.  Please don’t hesitate to call with any questions.

Zone A:  San Jose, Campbell, Cupertino, Fremont, Mountain View, Santa Clara

Zone B ($50):  Hayward, Los Altos, Los Gatos, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Redwood City, Saratoga, San Lorenzo 

​

Zone C ($100):  Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Oakland, Redwood City, San Leandro, San Mateo

​

Zone D ($150):  Antioch, Berkeley, Colma, Concord, Daily City, Danville, Hollister, Martinez, Orinda, Pittsburg, Richmond, San Bruno, San Pablo, San Francisco, Vallejo, Walnut Creek

Release Limitations

 

             A professional handler, properly dressed for the occasion, is necessary to supervise the release and ensure a safe, well-coordinated event.

​

• birds will not be released any later than 90 minutes before sunset time.  

• In extreme adverse weather conditions:

• thunderstorms, heavy fog, rain, strong winds, or excess heat (90 degrees or greater).

• Doves will not be released indoors or too late in the day for them to return home safely before dark.

GoDoves reserves the right to cancel any release.  In such cases, a 100% refund will be issued.  Also, GoDoves does not ship Doves for self-release and Doves are only flown from distances for which they are conditioned.

Cancellations

             Cancellations may be made up to seven (7) days before any wedding, funeral, memorial, or special event without penalty. Cancellations made within seven (7) days before such events will result in a 30% cancellation fee for scheduled releases and any additional travel surcharges.  Cancellations within 3 days of the event/service will result in a 50% penalty of all fees paid.

Re-scheduling

​

Prior to a week before the event, a previously scheduled reservation may be rescheduled to an alternate available date and/or time at no charge. 48 hours prior to the event, releases may be re-scheduled for an additional cancellation/re-booking fee of $100.00.  GoDoves Professional White Dove Release will waive this fee if able to re-book your originally scheduled release event.

Delays

​

When making the appointment, you will be asked to supply an event starting time and a release time. We understand that times may slip a little, and therefore will be prepared to release up to 10 minutes after the scheduled time. Depending upon the time of day, and our prior commitments, additional waiting time MAY be available at a cost of $50.00 for every additional half-hour or portion thereof. We often schedule more than one event per day in the busy season: we will not miss our scheduled appearance at another person’s event due to a delay in the current event. In addition, long delays may not be advisable from the bird’s standpoint – they are confined to small cages, and are quite hungry and thirsty.
